Walking Program at Elementary Schools

It is probably a little too soon to comment on the BOE election results until after the absentee ballots are counted. It is too close to call with 7,000 ballots to count. If the current trends do continue, then there will be at least 4 and possibly 5 new BOE members in December. Until we get those results, let's focus on something positive happening in our schools. Our society is becoming very overweight and it is good to see a program started at the elementary level to teach our children to become more active by walking.
